This homemade costume for girls entered our 2023 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Bonnie, the 'Roses' costume creator:
The roses are created out of EVA foam and shaped with a heat gun then glued to a turban style hat that was spray painted green. Leaves and curls also created using EVA foam and shaped with heat gun. Rose in her hand is made the same way but mounted on a stick. Created wrist and ankle bands the same way and attached them to a piece of felt that is held together with Velcro. Added some rhinestones for bling and a green catsuit and she’s a rose.
Overall cost- under $50
Idea source- I entered a hat making contest and won and turned that hat into a costume.
