Ragnar and Lagertha Lothbrok Costume

This is me and my husband as Ragnar and Lagertha Lothbrok from the "Vikings" series on the HIstory channel. The "chainmail" is a silver netting fabric, Ragnar's shield is made from plywood and Lagertha's shield is made from thick poster board with blunt nails punched all around it, both are painted with poster paint and acrylics. Her corset has vinyl strips glued to the front for a leather look. Ragnar has the same vinyl material as his armor. I free handed the viking tattoos on his head and had a friend braid my hair to look like hers.
