Mario Brothers' Toad & Toadette Costume

My children wanted to be Toad and Toadette from Mario Brothers. They were super excited that Toad and Toadette are brother and sister just like them!

For Toad & Toadette's Vest: I modified this free vest template based on my children's measurements. I added 2 different yellow toned trim based on Toad and Toadette. https://lifesewsavory.com/little-explorers-vest-free-pattern-boys-and-girls/

Toad's pants are just white baseball pants. Toadette's skirt was made with tulle and ribbon. I based it off of this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Wv7zsTum-w&t=771s

To make Toad and Toadette's mushroom hats: The based to fit around their head is made out of cardboard. I added stuffing until it was the right size and hot glued white fabric circles to make the mushroom head complete. I based it from this Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6mpc58tueI&t=311s

Toadette's "hair" off of the mushroom hat was made out of hard Styrofoam balls and tied off each one and glued on white fabric circles at the third/bottom ball.

The total cost was probably $40-50.
