Doc Ock Costume

Doctor Octopus is probably my all-time favorite Spider-Man villain.
Loving Alfred Molina’s performance in Spider-Man 2, I decided to try to replicate the look and pay a little homage to the original comic version as well.

The glasses I purchased online because of their unique comic book looking shape and green lenses, which is the original color of the comic book version’s costume.

I donned a Steampunk Victorian male wig to look a big like Alfred and wore basic clothing under a trench coat I purchased at a church thrift sale. I tore many holes on the sides and in back of the coat for the arms.

For the arms themselves, I pretty much took pipe lining from a hardware store and placed foam black squares I collected and individually wrapped in metallic duct tape.

For the end tentacles, I purchased some plastic housing brackets from same hardware store and taped them onto the ends before covering them to look part of the arms. I attached a fake money bag I filled with cotton balls to resemble a full money purse for that Saturday Morning cartoon robbing a bank look.
