This homemade costume for women entered our 2013 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Candy, the 'Ursula the Sea Witch' costume creator:

This is me, Candy Shannon (Sweets4aSweet Cosplay), wearing my Ursula the Sea Witch costume from Disney's The Little Mermaid! The costume is homemade, and started out as a repurposed bridesmaid dress! A hoop skirt was sewn inside to fill out the dress and a hula hoop added for extra stability. The tentacles were made of black and purple satin and filled with pillow stuffing. The suckers on the tentacles are buttons, and the tentacles are attached with snaps so they can be up or down! Ursula's pet eels were like a scared to be worn around the neck. They are made of a shiny green material with netting over it and felt for the eyes and teeth. The necklace and earrings were made of Crayola Model Magic and painted with acrylic paint. The purple makeup is airbrushed Graftobian alcohol-based paint. The photos were taken by Eleventh Photography and Neitling Photography and I have permission to use the images (as seen on my facebook page). Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you for your consideration,
candy Shannon, aka Sweets4aSweet Cosplay

Is that a wig?

Yes it is! It is from Arda Wigs. It is their Jareth wig in Silver that was cut and styled with Got2B Glued hairapray. Light Grey wefts were sewn in at the temples.
