|Costume type:||Costumes for Boys|
This homemade costume for boys entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
Our 7 year old son, Johnathan is the fisherman, with his miniature horse, Tucker, as the largemouth bass. My son came up with the idea, and my mother made both costumes! The fisherman costume includes the boat made out of cardboard that was painted, with the 'water' being a plastic tableskirt. Suspenders hold the boat up, as my son was also holding a fishing pole and needed his hands free to lead the horse. Gummy worms in the pockets were a huge hit! Tucker's costume is made from a flannel bed sheet, that has been spray painted with bass stripes. A pool noodle makes the fish back along with coat hangers to keep the fins up. The mouth of the fish is a large hoop that velcros to the body of the fish! The costume itself is held on the horse with a backpad and velcro.
Total cost is around $22.00 for everything you see!www.hfbhaflingers.com
