Mexican Girl and Pinata

This homemade costume for couples entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.
I am the Mexican girl in the photo while my husband is the pinata. We came across the idea online which he ended up making with cardboard boxes and streamers. We went to the dollar store for the streamers and also bought a "Party" sign with maracas that we hung over the front of the cardboard box. We didn't spend more than 4 dollars. I used a poncho, cow bag, and a sombrero. I am wearing boots in one of the photos since it snowed that night on Halloween 2011.
