This homemade costume for women entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Nicole, the 'Pinata' costume creator:

This is my creation for 2012. I decided to go as a Piņata. The base of my costume is a pair of black yoga pants and a black hoodie. I hot glued crepe paper in rows to the base of the costume and then snipped the edges of the crepe paper with scissors. I made the Piņata head with two boxes and tape and then covered it the same way with crepe paper. I used curled ribbon to add more personality to the piņata. I used a big party hat that I found at the dollar store as the tail. I stuffed my pockets with candy and randomly threw candy out to the crowd. Thanks for your consideration! Nicole Corson

Hey making this costume and ran into one glitch. how do I make the inside of the head? All the outside is done but need to get it to fit properly so was curious if anyone has any ideas.

Hi Nicole, I came across your post about your piņata costume and decided to recreate it for my costume this Halloween. I work in an elementary school so it was a HUGE hit! Thanks so much for sharing your work. Even now, 3 years later, it is still having an impact.
