Vitruvian Man and Mona Lisa Costume

Vitruvian Man & Mona Lisa

Costume type:  Costumes for Couples
Category:Halloween Costumes

This homemade costume for couples entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Theresa, the 'Vitruvian Man and Mona Lisa' costume creator:

These costumes are of Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man & Mona Lisa.

We made the Vitruvian Man costume by using paper mache on his arms and legs. We drew da Vinci's body sketch on a skin colored body suit.

The arms are attached to his body with wooden pegs. The pegs then attach to and hold up the foam frame. The legs are attached under the body suit. and attach to the foam frame with wire.

Mona Lisa was made with a frame, attached around the neck & waist. The dress was altered to be styled like the painting.
