Puppy Monkey Baby Costume

I (Linsey) is wearing the costume. I got this costume idea from the Puppy Monkey Baby Kick Start commercial from the super bowl. I instantly fell inlove with it and knew thats what I needed to start making! It was a bonus when I found out how much it bugged my dad because he thought it was so weird:) I sometimes run up to him and get in his face a say PUPPY (Lick Face) MONKEY (Try to lick face but he stops me) BABY (Try to lick face again but he says LINSEY!!! Stop) If you have not seen this commercial Youtube it because its weirdly amazing!

Most of it is homemade or at least have had homemade work done to it, and some items are store bought. I bought the Pug mask but did my own adjustments to make it fit my face better and have the dog face more centered. I Bought a furry jacket and did several die sessions to get it the different shades of color. I also sewed in my own zippers and buttons to get it to look like just a hairy monkey body. I got a pair of gloves and cut out my hand shape from a piece of hairy fabric and sewed that to the gloves to give me my hairy monkey hands look. For the tail I bought a pool noodle and cut it in half so it wasn't so round. Then I sewed fabric all around to cover it. I bent the top into a half circle then sewed it to the other side to give it that bent tail look. Then I sewed the tail to the jacket completely so it would move with the costume and look like an actual tail flopping around. I found a bear looking rattle and painted it to match the exact light blue from the commercial. (There is also a Puppy Monkey Baby commercial where he first chooses his toy its amazing as well) I also found adult diapers and painted the blue circles on them to match the baby diaper. I have a little voice recorder that I recorded the Puppy Monkey Baby song on so I press that when I walk by someone in my costume. Lastly I bought a bucket and cut foam to fit snugly inside of it. I cut some holes inside the foam and glued kick start cans inside. They are empty so its not so heavy( I tried with real ice and full cans but that got heavy fast) Then I cut pieces of paper and taped them to look like little cubes. Then I glued those all around the cans and covering the foam to make it look like the kick start cans are sitting in a bucket of ice.
