A word from Amanda, the 'Marionette Puppet' costume creator:
My 7 week old daughter, Rhyatt, has developmental hip dysplasia. She has to wear a Pavlik Harness for 12 weeks, but we didn't want it to hamper her first Halloween. So I improvised. With the positioning of her legs, she reminded me of a marionette puppet. My husband and I went to a craft store where we picked up the top hat, cord, wood and flower. The onesie, socks and partial vest came from a baby store. I'm not great at sewing but I managed to sew the partial vest to her onesie, add the flower, and add buttons on her sleeves and socks for the cords to be attached. My husband helped me craft the handle and we attached it to the top hat. What a cute little puppet!!
