This homemade costume for kids entered our 2011 Halloween Costume Contest, and won 10th place in the Favorite Halloween Costume nomination!

A word from Crystal, the 'Horror Movies' costume creator:

Every year we have a theme, this year was horror movies! I hand made most of the costumes, from Freddy's glove to Chucky's outfit! Most pieces of clothing come from shifting through the local thrift stores & sewing what I can't find. Chucky's shoes are regular white shoes that I spray painted, Freddy's glove is plastic knives, cardboard & lots of hot glue & paint. I did the makeup, scars, cuts & burns with nose putty & liquid face paint. The 'vomit on the exorcist girl is oatmeal with food coloring! The kids love these costumes & had a great time scaring everyone! Freddy would tell people, "I'll see you in your nightmares" after getting his candy!

Desiree - Tiffan, Chucky's Bride
Tyler - Chucky
Luna - Regan, the Exorcist Girl
Trent - Freddy Krueger

Luna makes a really scary Regan, the Exorcist Girl. Desiree is just plain creepy as Tiffan, Tyler looks just as demented as Chucky and Trent really knows how to flash those blades! Wonderful job.

Fabulous job on these costumes! I like homemade costumes so much better than store bought. I remember my mom raiding closets & 2nd hand stores for our costumes as well.
