A word from Nina, the 'Cut in Half' costume creator:

My 11 year old daughter is wearing this optical illusion costume which looks like she is cut in half. Yes, it is a little awkward to walk in it but it is totally worth it when it spooks people out.

How did you do it

You need pair of oversized pants,t-shirt, polyfill and sand bags or any weights
Cut the pants around the back side of the knee to put in your legs. Fill the top part up to the knee with polyfill. Cut the t-shirt such that there is no back and it hangs loose in the front when you wear it. Attach weights to the t-shirt on the bottom half (on the inside). The costume is ready. Slip in your legs through the slit in the pants. Wear the t-shirt and move your torso slightly to one side. The t-shirt hangs loose due to the weights. Move the top part of the pants to the other side. This creates an illusion that the person has been cut.

This is great! The expression on your face and the way you are positioned makes it work. Nice job!
