Wicked Witch of the "West" Costume

I wanted to be a witch, but not the standard, boring witch, so I came up with the idea to be literal when it came to the Wicked Witch of the West. I hit the thrift stores for the outfit pieces, and then used felt to turn the cowboy hat into a witch hat. I’m all about the accessories when it comes to a costume, so I cut out the horse head from wood, and then painted it and added the bridle. I wanted it to be both a broom and a horse, so I added raffia to make the broom part, but also serve as the horse’s mane. What’s a witch without her potions, so I found some tiny bottles and made labels for them. I used the liquid from glow sticks to make it a glowing potion. For the hourglass necklace, I found two round glass necklaces that I took and glued together and used red sprinkles as the sand. I made the frame to go around it, and made it into my necklace. Red boots sprayed with glitter served as the ruby slippers. And because we still have to wear masks at work, I made one that would complement the costume by adding stickers to it.
