The NEW Mr. Peanut - Homemade costumes for adults

Mr. Peanut 2011

Costume type:  Costumes for Adults
Categories:Halloween Costumes, Movie and TV Show Costumes

This homemade costume for adults entered our 2011 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Stephen, the 'Mr. Peanut' costume creator:

I am really into making iconic figures for my Halloween costumes. After seeing the claymation videos of the "new" Mr. Peanut, I knew I had to be him. I (Steve) am inside the suit. The costume took me 5 days to make and is constructed entirely out of foam. The main armature and structure is made of camping foam, and is later covered by a veneer craft foam. I had to sew a suit (which was the most difficult)to fit around the body. The suit covers a parting line where the head and body separates at. After stepping into the lower shell, the body is pulled up and capped by the head. The viewing window is Mr. Peanut's mouth, being a 4x2'' smile. I had a great time with this one, and hope you enjoy it as well!

Hi!
Was wondering if you were still renting the costume and for how much. I'm in Los Angeles.

I would love to rent this suit as my daughter just got a job with Kraft as a Peanutter. Driving across the country in a peanut moble. I would love to rent this suit for her graduation party from college, which is May 18, 2013. We live in PA. We do have a friend in Maryland who can pick it up. Where are you in Maryland and how much would you charge?
