The Three Amigos Costume

The Three Amigos is my favorite movie! For Lucky Day, Dusty Bottoms, and Ned Nederlander we pieced together the clothing, holsters, and guns from Amazon/thrift stores. We purchased wedding lace for the boleros and pants. We used fabric glue for the wedding lace pieces. The sombreros were free hand drawn with white puff pant. For El Guapo, we purchased the vest and shirt from a thrift store and made it appear dirty by rubbing some dirt and spraying water on it. The pants, shoes, and black wig, we all ready had thankfully! For El Guapo’s sweater, we lucked out and were able to purchase one from JC Penny. We then used Jacquard textile/fabric paint for the stripes/collar on the sweater. For the German, we purchased the aviator hat, goggles, gun, and pants from Amazon. The boots for the German came from a hand me down from 40+ years ago! For the Singing Bush, we purchased leaves from a craft store. We spray painted an air duct green and used chicken wire to place the leaves around. We mounted it on a slab of wood with wheels and had continuous music playing as we trick or treated. We loved our costume so much, we had our family photos taken in them!
