A word from Robin, the 'The Ice Cream Sundae' costume creator:

This is my daughter Evelyn wearing her ice cream sundae outfit I made her! The ice cream was made out of insulation foam that was sprayed over plastic bowls, dried than painted. Brown paint was mixed with glue and dripped over the top. I found a large hard plastic bowl and used drimmel to carve out the bottom until I could get it over my daughter's head. Once we could slip on with ease, I sprayed just a little more foam in the bottom of the bowl, and arranged the "ice cream" scoops around the middle. Use something to hold down the ice cream scoops so they don't expand up with the foam. This will look like melt vanilla ice scream in the bottom I used dollar tree serving plates and drimmeled them down to size for the antique look. The bottom is a dollar tree bowl that I drimmeled the bottom out of until my daughters legs had walking room. I fashioned a harness to the bottom bowl and it attached around the waist. The top bowl was slipped over her head and rested on the bottom base. I bought my daughter a tutu dress and made strips of insulation foam that I glued to the top of the tutu to look like whipped cream. More insulation foam was used on top of a ball about the size of my daughter head and once it was mostly dry, but still moldable, a kid's ball pit ball was added to the top for the cherry. I used a stem from fake dollar tree flowers and painted it red and forced through the hollow ball and glued in place. The sprinkles were tiny bits of insulation foam I rolled and hand painted and glued in place. I found the gummy bear charms at hobby lobby and glued them to clip-ons. A giant serving spoon from dollar tree finished off the outfit!
