This homemade costume for women entered our 2021 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Ami, the 'The Halloween Queen' costume creator:
"The Halloween Queen" - Original Character, Design and Fabrication.
The whole idea sparked from finding a large multi-halloween print dress at the thrift store for $5. The image of this old frumpy dress turning into a gown with a magnificent head piece filled with candies galore hit me instantly! It's Kitschy, it's eclectic, it's a Halloween Dream.
Materials used:
-Upscaled thrift store dress, from mumu dress size 14 to a Halloween Gown size 2. scraps of mesh and velvet.
-Custom made wig/crown made from L200 foam, spray paint & candy!
-Upscaled Scepter, sawed the top off and created a more appropriate scepter for the Queen with a pumpkin, rhinestones and skeleton hands and ribbon.
