The Decomposing Witch Costume

You can never go wrong as a witch in Halloween, but I wanted a twist to the typical witch. I decided to have my makeup show wear and tear and wrinkles, as if I am in the process of falling apart and decaying. So I went down a spiral of contouring and liquid latex ripping to achieve the desired look. The final touch I thought was just absolutely necessary were the maggots I molded and detailed by hand. It felt like it was my version of mascara for this look 😂. As for clothes, the black garment I'm wearing was from a costume many years ago that was actually for a ghost. It's a simple black gown with ripped cutouts. I decided to re-purpose it since I thought it would go well with the witch hat I also had from past years. The final thing I added to my costume was a bright red apple, like the way the Evil Queen in Snow White had. The apple gives a huge contrast between something bright with life and my decomposing self. Plus, I thought the bright apple might be a good way to tempt people full of life into my hands...
