R2D2 Costume

Jack is wearing R2D2. Jack loves Star Wars and wanted to go to Disneyland. So Mom brought it to him. We decided to recycle old items. We used some old parts including a damaged trash can, a torn beach ball, dials, wires, rubber furniture feet and sliders, screws, 2 square gift boxes, plastic aloe water bottles, round cookie tins and buttons. We bought very minimal items- some white and blue paper, 2 glow in the dark necklaces, 1 strand fairy lights. For the helmet, a great idea is to use a bicycle helmet. Another great way to give the glow is to use fairy lights then mounting tape and paper on top. We also used an old backpack to make inside straps for his shoulders. Jack is delighted with his costume and how many recycled items we used to make it.
