Hocus Pocus Costume

My all time favorite movie since I was a kid has been hocus pocus. And now my daughter who is now 4, is also obsessed with the movie, so there came the costume inspiration! All the costumes were Home made. I was Winifred, purchased a mideival costume and green cape with doing my own hair. My husband was billy, used his black suit and bought a vampire shirt with a black wig, did his make up, added cob webs and he was done. My son was the cauldron, we bought a cauldron decoration, cut out the bottom, added spider webs for the potion boiling over, green glow sticks inside and tulle for the fire at the bottom. My daughter was Mary, did her hair up with a mini water bottle and copper pipe bent to shape the hair, bought a peasant costume and added fabric, tulle and webbing to the bottom, also added a tulle skirt underneath to give it more shape. I also made Winifred’s book. Made from a cook book, used modeling clay to make the veins, snake and other pieces, mod podge to glue everything in place with paper towels to give a leather look.
