This homemade costume for women entered our 2023 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Ivory, the 'Ghost of a hanged Witch' costume creator:
This is a ghost of a wrongly accused witch, I was inspired by how scary our history of this time was.
I am the one in costume. I bought the Renaissance dress online (I can't remember the cost, it wasn't expensive)and scarf at a Goodwill for $2. The ghost makeup and sfx bruising was done by me. I used watercolor Halloween face paint from Walmart, it was only $6. I also just used some makeup I already had around. There are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube for getting a good idea of how to do ghost makeup and bruising special effects.
