A word from Dyana, the 'Fire and Ice' costume creator:

These two beautiful cousins went as Fire and Ice this year for Halloween! For the Ice Queen , We created her Ice crown, shoulder Ice and face mask using only Hot glue and some glitter. We cut long pieces of material to create a cape (no sew). I took a plastic half face mask ($1.99 from Hobby Lobby) cut it in half to create "shoulder pads" to attach the shoulder icicles to- I also added a fur puff ball underneath the shoulder pads and hot glued each piece to the cape material. Then we attached an old necklace to each end with a clip to hold the cape on. We did buy the dress from Amazon to keep that all white elegant look. but we added a long piece of sequins ribbon to her stomach as a belt. We took a piece of PVC pipe and dripped hot glue down the entire pipe- adding glitter here and there- then attached more hot glue icicles as well as some ornament icicles, also from Hobby Lobby, here and there though out her costume for an added effect. Lastly, we added fairy twinkle lights in a cool white and wrapped it down the entire staff and some in the center top for a little glow for when it got dark. As far as makeup, we used Mehron white, white lashes, some spirit glue to attach the glue mask and some fake snow and glitter to finish off her look on her hands and face. For the Fire Queen, We attached elastic to an old pair of wings that we cut down, added beautiful glitter branch decor from Hobby Lobby to create a gorgeous back piece. We also attached smaller pieces to a head band, a red ombre wig and a chunky red necklace for a more extravagant look. We took 2 dresses, took them apart and recreated this one of a kind dress. We took sneakers she already had and painted them red which went perfect with her costume and also kept her comfortable for her night of Trick or Treating! We topped off her look with her makeup in different shades of reds. Everyone kept stopping them for pictures and deemed them best costumes of the night! We hope you are enchanted by their costumes as much as we are!
