Edward Scissorhands & Peg Boggs Costume

Hello? Helloo? AVON Calling! My 7 year old boy/girl twins as Edward and the lovely Avon Lady, Peg. Edward's scissorhands took roughly 8 hours to create over the course of a few days, crafted from a mixture of cardboard, popsicle sticks, spackle, paint, hot glue, and used scissor handles. We created his costume with 90% thrifted clothing pieces and accessories. We cut up two thrifted leather jackets, a few belts and a clutch or two to create his glove details and leather dickey collar. Peg has a handmade hat and an authentic Avon 1960's makeup samples case. We chose an outfit, shoes, wig and accessories to best represent peg's intro scene.

Edward's wig was an 80s rocker style that we cut and further styled to match Edward's iconic hair. His scars were crafted out of a softened elmer's gluestick before getting a full Edward glam of pale beige/white makeup, burgundy lipstick and various shadow contouring.
