UP! Mr. Fredrickson, Russell, and Kevin Costume

This my husband Shane, my son Waylon and myself. My son loves UP! so we decided to make it a family affair. My mom made the Kevin cosume from fabric strips cut a half an inch apart and sewn onto a black knit dress. A blue wig with peacock feathers, some black leggings and boots, a beak and face paint completed the look. The Mr Fredrickson costume was simple clothes that resemebled something the character would wear, with a bow tie. The Ellie badge was ordered from Etsy and the cane made by my brother-in-law. We tied balloons to the cane. Russell was made up a yellow shirt, brown shorts, and army boots. I made the patches from felt, and tried to copy the badges earned by Russell with marker. The banner was made from felt also, with a large W for Wildnerness Explorers. A bandana, hat, and backpack, complete with everything Russell carried completed the outfit!
