This homemade costume for boys entered our 2015 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Amber, the 'Dusty Crophopper from Disney's Planes' costume creator:
Noah is my son and he loves the movies "Planes" and "Planes Fire and Rescue", so for Halloween my husband, who is incredibly handy with Duck Tape, made him an actual "plane" replica of Dusty Crophopper to wear.
The costume is made out of Styrofoam insulation from Home Depot, Duck tape, and wings from a Styrofoam glider. The hat is made from a insulated outdoor hose tap cover. The pontoons are removable, so Dusty can be a crop duster or a rescue plane. The propeller actually spins and the wings light up for safety!
