Homemade costume "The Demon" aka Gene Simmons of KISS
This is Joe, as "The Demon" aka... Gene Simmons of the band KISS. Joe says that it took the whole summer to complete this costume... Materials were around $100.00 total.

This homemade costume for men entered our 2010 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Joe Siemion, the 'The Demon' costume creator:
The picture was taken by my mom in front of our home on October 10th, 2010. It took the whole summer to complete. Total cost $100.00 This homemade costume is 'The Demon' (Gene Simmons of KISS) was constructed of scrap materials bought from a second hand store.
The 'armor' was cut out of aluminum baking sheets and pie tins, I used a hammer to shape and wear out the edges then riveted together. The 'waist' piece was cut out of leather to fit, I bought the studs and attached them. The 'boots' were bought and transformed into platform style by trace the outline of the boot and cutting out 8 piece of wood. These were glued together and attached with 5" screws. Finally I covered the wood with black material to blend in. The wig, cape(cut in half and shaped), knee guards(I painted silver) and makeup are store bought.
