Ziggy Stardust David Bowie Costume

I decided to dress up as David Bowie from his Aladdin Sane album. Obsessed with Bowie and his whole Ziggy Stardust phase. I really love his music and think he is such an icon. For this look, I wore a red bodysuit, red disco shorts, and glitter opaque tights. All three of these items can be purchased at American Apparel. The shoes I wore, were these wild chunky heeled platforms! The makeup was super fun to do! I spent so much time trying to make it as accurate as possible. I used a hot pink eyeshadow for my lids and to highlights around my brow bone & cheek bones. David Bowie had this pink hue on his face, so this is why I tried making my face as pink as possible. Then it was time for the lightning bolt! I used tape to help me make perfect lines and to really help with the shaping of the bolt. I used face paint for this. Then I put on glitter eyeliner and rubber body glitter over my face, hair, and body! (:
