A word from Yolanda, the 'Whipped Cream' costume creator:

This is my sweet, tolerant Samoyed, Nanuk, in his whipped cream costume. I tried this year to think of a costume that incorporates his personality and Samoyed-ness (his soft white puffiness & his sweetness) and I thought of whipped cream. I tried to copy the Reddi Wip logo onto felt squares. I used poster board and covered it with red cotton fabric for the base (made it like a pillow case and slipped the poster board in for stiffness) and used white cotton across the chest so it would fit like a dog sweater and just slip over his head. I put one piece of elastic under his big belly to hold it in place. I glued the logo in place with fabric glue. Seemed like it needed something so I made the “Made With Real Cream” logo for the front. I gathered 50 yards of white 9” white bridal tulle (folded in half) for the blob of whipped cream on his back. I sewed it all in place with dental floss and used a red Christmas decoration for the cherry on top and a stick from the back yard for the stem. I glued the cherry on with spray adhesive and none of it’s going anywhere. The cap/hat was a soup container from the deli. I made the ridges with unrolled cotton balls covered with masking tape and then painted the whole thing fire engine red. Punched four holes in it and used two pieces of elastic cord – one in front of his ears and one behind, so it doesn’t bother him and he doesn’t constantly try to shake it off. The whole thing was under $25 to make – cheapest costume I’ve ever made him! But I already have my idea for next year and I’m going to make up for this year! Thanks!

I too have been thinking of what would best showcase my Eskie's white fur softness. Your whipped cream idea is great!
