Where's Waldo? Costume

My 4 yr old son Brantley is wearing Waldo for Halloween 2015. He is only 4, so it was quite a task making him understand the fun of being disguised as a man whom he knew nothing about... BUT once introduced to Waldo HE fell in love with the idea. He was so excited once we explained the Where's Waldo tradition. A man about the world with tools and boots and a knapsack. Yes, he was on board. Then the wheels were spinning and the costume came together with such ease and fun! We did a scavenger hunt of his toys and found almost EVERYTHING we needed. Why not use an old pair of thrift store reading glasses paired with vintage (hand me down) carpenter jeans with lots of loops and hidden pockets for all of Waldo's necessary items. We used toy tools, along with some of daddy's tools and started adding items to Waldo's sack o' stuff. The outcome was priceless--- see pics! At trunk or treat the adults howled as he walked by. "There's Waldo", they squealed. That got Brantley even more excited. He giggled because the people knew who he "was". All night we enjoyed making strangers smile and laugh. Being recognized and not having to explain your costume means you did something right! Amazing fun with no money and no worries. Happy Halloween amd we hope you find Waldo!
