A word from Megan, the 'Where the Wild Things Are' costume creator:
My kids love to read Where the Wild Things Are, so this year I knew they would be so happy if I turned them into characters from the book. My son (5) was so excited to be a Wild Thing and my daughter (1 1/2) loved being King Max. I made the Wild thing costume with felt, fabric paint, and faux fur. I made his head piece with cardboard, stuffing, felt, faux fur, and lots of hot glue. King Max’s costume used similar materials. They had lots of fun stomping and gnashing their teeth in the costumes. And since we live in Arizona, we took them out to the desert and let the wild rumpus begin!
