Walking Disco Queen Costume

I knew I wanted to make a costume with mirrors and lights. I didn’t want to be a traditional disco ball, so I came up with a costume that incorporated all the things that make a disco fun. I hot glued over 2,000 3/8” mirror tiles onto my corset, headpiece and walking staff. The headpiece and staff are made from styrofoam balls that I first covered in silver glitter then glued the mirrors in. I made holes every few inches so that I could insert the flashing single small balls into my costume. I used over 75 light balls into my costume that had to be changed every time I wore the costume. This was very time consuming, but it was a lot of fun to make and I made quite the entrance at every party I went to. I worked on this costume a few hours a night for a few weeks.
