A word from Amber, the 'Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man' costume creator:

Who doesn't love the Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man?! WE LOVE HIM!
We decided to go as the crazy inflatable, side of the road tube salesman this year for Halloween... mostly for the epic dance moves. Of all the costumes we've done in the past, so far this one has been the most entertaining and FUN! Everyone wants to dance with Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man- and having TWO just made it better!!

This costume cost us about $30 each. First, get yourself two collapsible mesh hampers (TIP: get black ones and you can use the mesh of the hamper as the mouth of the tube man, and your way to see through the costume and into the crowd you're inevitably going to be dancing with!). Cut out the bottom to one of them, and attach them together- we used black zip-ties for this (ANOTHER TIP: work your way around the diameter with the zip-ties the same way you would attach springs to a trampoline, the clock method, for best results). Cut holes in your top hamper for your arms (try to leave at least a foot between your head and the top for the most realistic look).
Grab some material (go for lightweight and breathable), and start sewing (or you can use fabric glue) the material together so that it comfortably wraps around the hampers with enough hanging from the bottom to almost reach the floor when you have it on... also leave about 1ft extra material to scrunch together and throw a rubber band around to get the top flare.
Make some sleeves (you can either attach these to the costume itself or separate to wear), cut out the mouth hole and slap some eyes on it (we used Twill Patches for the eyes... super easy!). AND VOILA!!! DANCE AWAY!!! :D
