This homemade costume for girls entered our 2014 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Kimberly, the 'Violet from Willy Wonka' costume creator:
My daughter is a fan of the movie and wanted to be Violet. We used paper mache for the ball then covered it with batting then covered it with blue cotton fabric . I used a velvet table cloth pushed at a thrift store to make the belt we also fond Shiney buttons on a old men's dress coat at thrift shop we hot glued those on and the belt buckle was made out of a old belt that was broke I covered it with red velvet table cloth glued on in pieces. She is wearing a blue long sleeve shirt and blue tights . Her shoes were last year's Christmas red sparkle shoes . The golden ticket was made out of my son's graduation yard sign we cut up and glued gold fabric on then used letter stickers to read Wonka Golden Ticket Admit 1 OCT 31. Her makeup is water activated blue paint we painted her whole face , hands , feet where skin was showing . Her hair is natural brown so we threw it half up half down. This picture was just taken at our campground halloween day on September 27,2014 .
