Vintage Strong Man Costume

My son wanted to be a strong man for Halloween. I purchased 2 "girls" long sleeve t-shirts in white (boys t-shirts are too boxy to be made into the muscle body) and some white leggings. First I fabric dyed the shirts and leggings to match his skin tone. Then I printed tattoos that said Mom with a heart on iron on decal paper and placed it on the biceps. Next, I put one shirt inside the other and sewed the two necks together. Then the different muscles were sewn and stuffed with batting to create his strong man chest, shoulders, biceps and abs. Next, I found red and white striped fabric and made the wrestling suit to go over his strong body. With gold and black felt, I made his strong man belt. No sewing required for the belt, just hot glue. Last but not least, we bought a large mustache and rain boots that look like wrestling boots to complete the look.
