Tow Mater Costume

Hi Everyone!
I am Teju and this is my homemade handmade costume for my dearest nephew Ishaan. He loves his cars toys and loves watching cars movie series. Tow mater is one of his favorite characters. This year he came to me and asked me can I make him tow mater for halloween and I replied, well, I can try!! :)

My preparation:
The first step was to watch cars movies to get an idea about what am I going to make :)
I gathered random pictures of tow mater from different angles from web. then decided how am I going to make it.

Materials:
I wanted to make it light weight so that he can wear it for longer times. The costume is made entirely out of foam boards, craft glue, spray paint, apple barrel acrylic paints, clear tape, an old jacket to glue to the costume, any available thick paper and rope. The majority of material is purchased from Dollar store, Walmart, Target.
I cut all the smaller individual parts and glued them together first. then the prepared smaller parts are glued together to make the final truck. the majority of time spent was glue drying time but you can hold the parts together via tape and then allow time for glue to dry completely. Spray paint makes it very easier to finish the truck quickly. I used brown and blue spray paint. I painted the green acrylic paint side panels and also the eyes of mater with apple barrel paints. I used a led light for headlight.
