Tiger-Lily and Dande-Lion Costume

Sadie is our little TIGERlily and her little sister, Andie is our dandeLION.

Inspiration came from Sadie on a walk one day. I had asked what she wanted to be for Halloween and she responded “a dandelion! ROAR!!!!” I thought “Okay. I can work with that!” I didn’t want them to match so I brainstormed another flower/animal and came up with the TIGERlily.

I bought all materials at joann’s fabric. I made the body suits out of fleece. The head pieces are made of felt. I used pipe cleaners sewn into the petals to give them support and shape them. For the dandelion i hot glued each petal to a hood I fashioned out of felt. For their faces I watched a couple videos and did a step by step face painting guide. Total spent for both costumes was about $50!

The girls had a blast trick-or-treating! I hope the let me make their costumes for years to come!
