This homemade costume for women entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Saryn, the 'This Damsel Can Go The Distance' costume creator:
This costume is a mashup between the characters of Hercules and Megara from the Disney film “Hercules”. The outfit is DIY with many elements such as the belt (purple tights) or the cape (cut up T-shirt) serving a new purpose. The cape buttons were 3D printed and fastened using magnets and the belt charm is from a clip-on earring. I really love “Hercules”, but I felt both the Megara and the Hercules costumes were overdone, so I just decided to mash them together and make something new!
