This homemade costume for groups entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Sherri, the 'The Munsters' costume creator:

I am Eddy; Eddy is wearing an old suit that I grew out of. I cut the legs off the suite and split one leg in half and sewed it into the sides and arms for more room in the jacket. I then took the other leg and cut and sewed it in strips to make my bow tie. I bought knee hi socks and men's dress shoes at the thrift store. Pulled my hair back into a pony tail and tucked it under. Lots and Lots of hairspray. I also am wearing black contacts.

My best friend is Lilly. She is wearing a pink night gown along with her cape that she made out of sheets. Her hair is real and painted. Both she and I did our own make up, but her husband (Herman) did our base. You cannot see her purse, but it is in the shape of a coffin, made from satin materials over top a beverage box cut and shaped into the coffin. Has a big cross on the front and trimmed in fringe.

Grandpa is my husband. His jacket is a dress jacket that we purchased from the thrift store along with a read silky blouse. Chrissy (Lilly) and I cut the shirt up and used the arms of the shirt for the lapels of the jacket. We glued them on. His vest was a woman's vest that we purchased at the thrift store. And because obviously it was too small we split it up the back. His necklace was made of red ribbon and a medallion. His hair is his real hair. He has long hair, so Chrissy and I crossed it in the back and pinned it right by his ears. We teased it, sprayed it with hairspray and then Chrissy's husband (Herman) colored his hair. Grandpa was also wearing a pair of Tuxedo pants that were purchased at a thrift store. We were a finished product from our head to our feet.

The majority of our make is done by Tim (Herman)
