This homemade costume for groups entered our 2012 Halloween Costume Contest.

A word from Katie, the 'The Disney Princesses' costume creator:

All of our costumes were handmade. I thought of the idea, me and all my friends are very girly and i thought the princess costumes would fit us all perfectly! especially because of our hair colors, we even had a red headed friend that was going to dress as ariel as well but unfortunately she couldn't come out with us.The Pochahontis dress(Nicole) was a plain beige dress that we sewed tassels onto and put a braid around the head and a blue belt in the middle. The snow white costume(Ena) was a blue lace dress, we handmade a tutu and wrapped yellow material around the tutu and around the shoulders and used some red ribbon for a hair bow. The Belle costume(Katie, me) was a gold bodysuit, the skirt was also homemade out of tutu material and a yellowy see-through material, tied with a ribbon and a pink flower clipped onto the front. The Cinderella costume(Melissa) was a white lace t-shirt and just a plain high wasted blue skirt. The sleeping beauty costume(Alanna) was a pink dress, with a homemade tutu over it, a white sash type thing was also made to go over top on the shoulders on this costume. The Snow White, Belle and Sleeping Beauty costumes all had high white frilly socks with plain white shoes and Belle, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella all wore tiaras.

I love your Belle costume! I'm going to dress up as her for a princess dressup party and was wondering how you put together your tutu? I recently got some yellow see through material but I'm not sure how to make it into an actual tutu? If you could help me out that would be great! Thanks :)
