The Farmer's Market Costume

My minature dachshund, Dewey is dressed as The Farmer's Market. Most of the supplies were found at Goodwill... Styrofoam Vegetables, Basket, Infant Clothing and a stuffed animal for the 'partner carrying the basket'. Bandana and Straw Hats from the craft store. I first altered the baby clothing to fit Dewey and then cut the bottom out of the basket to fit on Dewey's back. I glued a piece of brown paper grocery bag in the basket to fit across his back like a saddle and glued the vegetables to it. The vegetables are styrofoam and very light weight which is important in dealing with dachshunds.This is a fun costume especially when he is walking with his faux partner. It looks so cute from the back. I love the fact that it not only is a cute Halloween costume, but represents Fall as well.
