Super Mario Family Costume

Every year I make my son's costumes for Halloween, but last year he decided that he wanted my husband and I to dress up as well. He decided that he would be Super Mario, his dad would be Luigi, and I would be Princess Peach. So, I set out to make three costumes. They were all relatively easy to make. For Mario, I simply bought some heavy-weight blue material for the coveralls. I did not have a pattern, so I drew it out freehand, then used a sewing machine to put them together. The hat for Mario and Luigi were made with scrap material, hot glued onto an old baseball cap, and using pieces of foam board for the shape. Luigi's coveralls were cut out from an old Dickie's coverall uniform, bought from Goodwill. I only had 2 days to make Peach, so I bought an old hoop skirt, and using a hot glue gun, and a body form, randomly draped pieces of pink satin fabric over that hoop skirt. They were all a HUGE hit, and in fact, my nephew, and his family will be using them as their costumes this year!
