Stunning Samara (The Ring) Costume

This Samara costume idea comes from the horror movie “The Ring”. We spent a couple weeks getting the Samara costume to look exactly how we wanted it. I was more the ecstatic the result. My daughter who is 9 loves the idea and is sometimes more into it than I am. Everything you see (aside from the wig) was made specifically for the costume (yes, even the well is custom made)

The nightgown was also sewn from a pattern. The bottom edges and sleeves were ruffed up by painstakingly pulling out cross-threads, so that only one part of the strand remained. Then took makeup and used it on the costume. Then photo/makeup day came and we visited a local makeup artist we use every Halloween who enhanced the older dirty look of Samara.
