SharkBoy and LavaGirl Costume

Me and my girlfriend decided it would be really cool to make costumes based on the 2000’s kids movie ‘The Adventures Of SharkBoy and Lavagirl’ that she and I and a lot of people our age grew up with. Over the course of about one month I created mine and my girlfriend’s costumes from scratch. I started with a drawings of the costumes and then started putting them together. My SharkBoy suit is made up of handmade EVA Foam armor over a custom printed and sewn Lycra spandex suit. It has LED lighting in the shoulder and handmade gloves and gauntlets as well as false “shark” teeth. My girlfriend’s Lavagirl costume is a Lycra spandex suit with handmade heels, hand painted accents and battery powered LED lights.
