Rowdy the Cowboy Costume

My son is wearing the costume, I cannot reveal his name (mascots never do). He wanted to be the Dallas Cowboy mascot because in Ohio we have a tough time finding Dallas Cowboys gear. Now he wants to wear it to a cowboys game. I hate to break it to him, he will outgrow it before we can do that ;)
I started with foam boards and glued those together. I cut it wide all the way around so I could go back and carve the face into it. Then I used fabric to do the face and some cotton filler to give the nose and cheeks some dimension. I used paint and colored pencils to add some shadowing on the face. It took about three weeks to make and under $100.00
