Rosie & Uncle Sam Costume

Shauna is Rosie and Rob, my Husband,is Uncle Sam. I work with Wounded Warriors from the Wounded Warrior Project and I wanted to show my love for the Warriors that I work with and my dedication to my country this year. We hosted a big party for all the Wounded Veterans that live in the Colorado Springs Area. We were a big hit.
Uncle Sam:I actually got the coat at the Good Will for my husband. It is Bellman's coat in excellent condition. I found some stairs and sewed them on the collar. I sewed the red and white stripped pants, tie and cummerbund. The firm look is all his! He wants YOU! Rosie the Riveter:I found Red an White polka dotted fabric and sewed a handkerchief and got on line to buy the Rosie the Riveter Electric Works Identification badge that she would have wore as well as the back poster I glued onto foam core board. I found a denim work shirts and 1940 style "sailor" pants and threw on some work boots. WE are American through and through! Cost $15 for hat, scarf $4, Goodwill clothes $52, Poster and pin $30, pants $5 homemade, Hair $15 COST $121 PRICELESS
