Roaring 20's Wedding Photo Costume

Carla and Jerry Neidigh. I am a photographer and we decided to re-create a 1920s wedding photograph complete with picture frame and hand-painted cake. All elements of our costume were grayscale. The photos attached are taken in color without any editing. We found costume pieces like the ascot tie veil, and headdress on Amazon.com. We used theater make up in a pale gray to paint exposed skin areas. I cut foam core into the shape of a wedding cake and hand painted it with acrylic paint accented with transparent gloss to make the wedding cake. I created a handle on the back using white duct tape. The frame was made from a giant TV box cut into the shape of a frame and spray painted white. Again duck taped handles were added to the backside. The black photo corners are black foamcore.
