I was blown away by Regina King's dress from this year's Emmys, and when I came across a $12.99 blue graduation gown at the Goodwill, I knew I wanted to try my hand at recreating it. After a day of cutting, sewing, gluing and embellishing, I achieved the final look for less than $20! It's now my favorite DIY project I've ever done, and I'm so proud and excited about how it turned out. I'm hoping it will inspire others to get creative and go for it, no matter what your budget is!
