This homemade costume for women entered our 2020 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from Lakeva, the 'Queen of Salsa' costume creator:
My inspiration for this costume was non other than the Queen of Salsa herself, Celia Cruz. The main body of the dress is a pencil skirt 1950’s style dress. I used it to make this flamenco dress by making ruffled armbands and the ruffles on the bottom of the skirt. I then added a wide-band, black belt at the waist.
