This homemade costume for women entered our 2019 Halloween Costume Contest.
A word from DIY Princess, the 'Princess Jasmine' costume creator:
My Jasmine costume was inspired by Michael Wilkinson's design for the the live action Aladdin film. There are some elements from the cartoon version that I really like like the mint color and flowyness of the outfit. So I married the new with the old :) I made a video detailing the process https://youtu.be/AMYVmkwlWgM
I used a bustier style bra for the base of the top, extended the length, draped fabric over it, hand sewed everything in place then embellished it with gold trim and Swarovski crystals. I used a pair of pajama pants as a pattern to create the pants and beaded the front slits and embellished the waistband in a similar fashion.
